D3 Energy Delivers Maiden Prospective Resource Across South Australian Hydrogen and Helium Permits

D3 Energy has announced an independently certified maiden Prospective Resource for its Hydrohelix and Cootanoorina prospects within the company's 100%-owned PEL121 permit in South Australia's Arckaringa Basin. The assessment was completed by independent reserves and resources auditor Sproule ERCE and establishes a second prospective resource base alongside D3's South African portfolio.

The certification outlines a best estimate (2U) recoverable resource of 54 BCF of helium, 88 BCF of natural hydrogen and 226 BCF of methane across the two prospects. At the higher (3U) estimate, the resource increases to 190 BCF helium, 331 BCF hydrogen and 803 BCF methane.

PEL121 and the adjoining PEL122 licences cover approximately 5,865 km² in the Arckaringa Basin near Olympic Dam. To date, D3 has identified two prospects and nine additional exploration leads across PEL121 using available seismic data.

According to the company, the prospects sit within a geological system analogous to the nearby Mt Kitty-1 well, which previously recorded helium concentrations of up to 9%, hydrogen concentrations of up to 11.5%, and methane concentrations of up to 13%. The identified system includes deep basement faulting, Heavitree Sandstone reservoirs, fractured basement targets and regional evaporite seals considered favourable for gas accumulation.

D3 has also commenced a farm-out process for the Hydrohelix prospect to support future drilling activity. Work programmes are currently being planned to drill and test an exploration well within PEL121 during 2027.

The maiden resource significantly expands D3 Energy's international exposure to helium and natural hydrogen exploration, complementing its existing certified helium and methane assets in South Africa while establishing South Australia as a second strategic growth region.
