Whitebark Energy Confirms World-Class Hydrogen & Helium Potential at Rickerscote Prospect

Whitebark Energy Limited (ASX: WBE) has received an independent review from global energy consultancy Sproule ERCE confirming the significant natural hydrogen and helium potential of the Rickerscote Prospect in South Australia’s Officer Basin.

Sproule ERCE’s 3U (P10) Prospective Resource estimates for Rickerscote include 1.2 billion kg of hydrogen and 209 Bcf of helium (net WBE share: 851 million kg hydrogen and 140 Bcf helium), with a geological chance of success between 7% and 17%.

Key geological elements include a proven granitic source, thick salt seals, high-quality reservoirs, and more than 700 million years of generation time. Rickerscote is one of the largest undrilled, seismically defined sub-salt structures onshore Australia, with potential to become a world-class hydrogen and helium province.

Whitebark holds a 67% stake in the PEL 253 and PEL 81 permits but retains the option to increase ownership to 100%. Success at Rickerscote would unlock the Officer Basin’s broader potential for hydrogen and helium production.
