Squatex and Caron Technologies Partner with Senegal’s Geological Survey to Advance Natural Hydrogen and Geoenergy Innovation

Squatex Energy and Resources Inc. and Caron Technologies International Inc. (CTI) have entered a strategic partnership framework agreement with the National Geological Survey of Senegal (SGNS), in collaboration with the Halles d’Innovation et de Formation Avancée (HIFA) and the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR).

The three-year renewable agreement establishes a foundation for scientific and technological cooperation between Quebec and Senegal in geological mapping, energy exploration, and innovation in sustainable resource development.

Under the framework, the partners will:

• Develop joint training and capacity-building programs for SGNS personnel.
• Create digital modeling tools and intelligent systems for geological data integration.
• Support the establishment of certified laboratories and collaborative research infrastructure.
• Promote environmentally responsible exploration practices and international governance standards.

This collaboration marks Squatex’s first strategic entry into West Africa, securing access to underexplored basins prospective for oil, gas, natural hydrogen, and critical minerals. (CTI) announce the signing of a strategic partnership framework agreement with the National Geological Survey of Senegal (SGNS), in collaboration with the Halles d'Innovation et de Formation Avancée (HIFA) and the University of Quebec in Rimouski (UQAR).
