Snowfox Discovery Engages Viridien to Deliver Advanced Multiphysics Imaging for Global Natural Hydrogen Exploration

Snowfox Discovery Ltd., a leader in natural hydrogen exploration, has announced a major technology partnership with Viridien, the global advanced Earth data and geoscience company, to accelerate discovery and de-risk exploration of natural hydrogen systems worldwide.

Under this agreement, Snowfox will gain preferred access to Viridien’s multiphysics imaging technologies, advanced geophysical data analytics, and Earth science expertise. The collaboration will apply 3D structural inversion, AI-driven subsurface modeling, and high-resolution gravity and magnetic interpretation to identify and evaluate hydrogen-bearing geological systems across key global basins.

This agreement with Viridien marks an important step forward for Snowfox,” said Dan McMahon, CEO of Snowfox Discovery. “By securing preferred access in the field of natural hydrogen, we are reinforcing our position as the technology leader in this new frontier of energy exploration. Viridien’s cutting-edge expertise, combined with our own best-in-class technologies and workflows, provides us with differentiating capabilities to accelerate discovery and development of natural hydrogen resources, which we believe could play a critical role in the global energy transition.

Peter Whiting, EVP Geoscience at Viridien, added:

Our collaboration with Snowfox demonstrates a shared commitment to bringing the most advanced technologies to new forms of exploration. For natural hydrogen, our imaging technology and geoscience expertise will accelerate the global effort to discover this promising new energy source.

The partnership follows Snowfox’s oversubscribed $30 million Series A funding, backed by bp Ventures, Oxford Science Enterprises, The Bamford Family, Rio Tinto Ventures, AP Ventures, and Oxford Capital Partners, and positions Snowfox to advance its exploration portfolio in Africa, Australia, and North America.

Joint technical programs will now focus on identifying, evaluating, and de-risking natural hydrogen prospects through multiphysics workflows, integrating seismic, gravity, magnetic, and AI modeling data to uncover previously hidden subsurface systems.
