Noble Helium Completes Earth Source Hydrogen Acquisition, Adding 40,000 km² of Western Australian Exploration Acreage

Noble Helium has completed its acquisition of Earth Source Hydrogen, expanding its exploration portfolio into Western Australia with more than 40,000 square kilometres of prospective helium and natural hydrogen acreage in the Southern Carnarvon Basin.

The transaction received acceptance from 100% of Earth Source Hydrogen shareholders, with all conditions precedent now satisfied. It gives Noble Helium a substantial new Australian exploration position alongside its existing helium portfolio in Tanzania.

The acquired assets comprise three Special Prospecting Authority areas: SPA-47 AO, SPA-44 AO and SPA/AO-0145.

These areas span a geological setting associated with the Yilgarn Craton and adjacent western sedimentary basins, providing Noble Helium with exposure to prospective basement and basin environments for helium and hydrogen exploration.

The acquisition does not immediately establish conventional exploration licences across the entire area. Instead, the Special Prospecting Authorities provide exclusive rights to apply for exploration licences over the prospective acreage, subject to the applicable regulatory processes.

That distinction is important because the company's immediate focus is on evaluating existing exploration results and advancing the approvals needed for more detailed work.

Earth Source Hydrogen has already completed water bore sampling programs across SPA-47 AO and SPA-44 AO.

Independent analysis and evaluation of those samples are underway, with Noble Helium intending to use the findings to support potential exploration permit applications.

The company plans to release a summary of the results once the assessment is complete.

Water bore sampling can provide an early indication of dissolved gases and subsurface geochemical conditions, potentially helping identify areas warranting further investigation.

However, the acquisition announcement does not disclose helium or hydrogen concentrations from the sampling programs, and the results have not yet established a subsurface gas accumulation.

For Noble Helium, the value of the existing dataset will depend on whether it can help distinguish prospective geological areas and guide the next stages of exploration.

At the third authority area, SPA/AO-0145, the company is planning a ground gravity survey.

That work will proceed once native title agreements have been concluded and an environmental plan has been approved.

Gravity surveying can help identify density contrasts and broader geological structures, potentially improving the interpretation of basement architecture, sedimentary basin geometry and other features relevant to gas exploration.

Combined with geochemical sampling, such information could help Noble Helium refine its understanding of the acquired acreage before selecting areas for more detailed investigation.

The Southern Carnarvon Basin expansion also changes the geographic composition of Noble Helium's portfolio.

The company has primarily been associated with helium exploration in Tanzania. Through Earth Source Hydrogen, it now adds an Australian position with prospective exposure to both helium and natural hydrogen.

Executive Chair Dennis Donald said the completed acquisition reflects the company's strategy of building a geographically diversified helium exploration portfolio.

The transaction also provides a potential pathway for Noble Helium to investigate different geological settings across two continents, rather than concentrating its exploration activity in a single jurisdiction.

In Western Australia, the company's immediate work remains at the early exploration and permitting stage.
