Koloma has selected GeoComputing Group’s RiVA private cloud platform to support its data-intensive natural hydrogen exploration and subsurface analysis workflows.
The agreement reflects the increasing role of high-performance computing in natural hydrogen exploration, where companies must process large geological and geophysical datasets, operate specialised petro-technical applications and coordinate technical teams across multiple locations.
Koloma uses proprietary data, geoscience expertise and advanced analytical tools to identify and reduce uncertainty around areas that may support future natural hydrogen production. GeoComputing says the platform’s high-throughput architecture can reduce some processing tasks from days to hours.
