HyTerra Begins Monitoring at Sue Duroche 3, Prepares for Next Well Spud at Nemaha Project

HyTerra Limited (ASX: HYT) has begun converting its Sue Duroche 3 well at the Nemaha Project into a long-term monitoring well following encouraging hydrogen and helium indications during drilling. The well, which reached total depth on May 1 at 3,453 ft, returned hydrogen readings up to 96.1%, as verified by Isotech Laboratories. Elevated helium levels were also observed deeper in the Precambrian basement.

A work-over rig (Hurricane Services Rig 735) is now on-site to support surface pressure and gas monitoring over the coming months. This monitoring phase is critical for designing an extended well test post-drilling of back-to-back wells.

Meanwhile, Murfin Rig 116 is being mobilized to the Blythe 13-20 location in Morris County, Kansas. Drilling is expected to commence by May 20. The well targets a deeper geological formation than Sue Duroche 3 and is located ~1,380 meters east of the historic Scott-1 well, which previously recorded hydrogen up to 56%.

HyTerra also completed a seismic acquisition program on time and on budget to support further drilling in a new greenfield hydrogen and helium zone.

Executive Director Benjamin Mee emphasized that HyTerra is “writing the playbook” on natural hydrogen testing and is on track with all milestones.
