Gold Hydrogen Confirms Natural Hydrogen and Helium in Ramsay 3 Well
Gold Hydrogen Limited (ASX: GHY) has confirmed natural hydrogen and helium within its Ramsay 3 well on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula, marking another step forward in its 2025 drilling campaign following recent strategic investments from Toyota Motor Corporation, Mitsubishi Gas Chemical, and ENEOS Xplora.
The Ramsay 3 well, located 2.3 km from Ramsay 1 and 2, was spudded on 10 November 2025. Elevated levels of natural hydrogen were confirmed by SLB’s DQ1000 gas detector in the Parara Limestone, with helium also detected at several depths within the Kulpara Dolomite formation.
These results indicate potential continuity in the natural hydrogen and helium systems across the Ramsay Project area. Multiple gas samples have been collected for third-party laboratory analysis, with results expected in the coming weeks.
Managing Director Neil McDonald said:
“Confirmation of elevated levels of natural hydrogen and helium at Ramsay 3 is very exciting. This helps demonstrate the potential for the extension of the natural hydrogen system previously identified by the company in the Parara Limestone. Further, the confirmation of helium gas shows in the Kulpara Dolomite section is also indicative of system continuity. We look forward to receiving the laboratory results and continuing our testing program.”
Gold Hydrogen continues to advance its objective of developing one of the world’s most significant onshore natural hydrogen and helium provinces. Its combined exploration permit areas cover more than 75,000 km² across South Australia, with strong community engagement and environmental stewardship central to its operations.
